Our second annual wine tasting event will benefit the local and international charities of the James W. Houck Foundation (501(c)(3)), including a water well project in the Talas Oblast of Kyrgyzstan.  This Oblast (county) is one of the poorer countries of the former Soviet Union.  Lack of rain, rolling electricity shortages for days on end, not to mention an exceptionally harsh winter have left many communities in the region at risk for the same circumstances this coming year.   Proceeds from this event will be used to construct an irrigation well for the nearby farming areas.
